Toronto, Canada – Top police and emergency management officials met with security executives from across the GTA this morning at the Royal Canadian Military Institute for an informative breakfast meeting. Regional Security Officer Mark C. Malhoyt of the U.S. Consulate General Toronto began the speeches by welcoming the guest speakers to the podium beginning with the Honorable John R. Nay, Consul General. Mr. Nay expressed his continuing support to the OSAC mission and welcomed the visitors. 

Other guest speakers included Robert Porporino, North East Area Director of Security and Investigative Services for Citigroup Inc., Ken Doige, Director, Security, Eastern Region, Brookfield Properties Corporation, Bill Blair, Chief of the Toronto Police Service and Stephen Elliott, Field Officer, Emergency Management Ontario. 

The esteemed speakers shared a strong consensus and commitment to inter agency cooperation on emergency management and communication. The meeting gave the U.S. and Canadian law enforcement officials the opportunity to network with their private sector counter parts. Discussions on partnerships to deal with emergencies, investigations and communications echoed throughout the room as each attendee shared their vision and concerns
